Winter Poetry

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice

Finding FROSTY FICTION in the FIU Libraries

There is no one way to find fiction that deals with cold subjects or settings; however, you can type in keywords such as:

"Glaciers and Fiction" or "Ice and Fiction" in the Catalog search box at library.fiu.edu.

Although some of the more recently published books (published after 1990) will be listed under subject headings such as:

Winter--Fiction

Snow--Fiction

Arctic Regions--Fiction

Antarctica--Fiction

Greenland--Fiction

Alaska--Fiction

Siberia (Russia)--Fiction

You will get broader results by NOT limiting yourself to subject headings and letting the book title or description (if there is one) be your guide.

(NOTE: Books published before 1990 may not be listed under descriptive or geographic subject headings, only the author and title.)
